Course Description

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) speeds up and improves website development. This course demystifies this technology and fosters quick and efficient website production. Create clean, attractive sites that use less code and can be modified to change the entire look of your site in minutes. 

The course covers a variety of key topics. Participants who complete the course will be able to:

  • Understand the relationship between CSS selectors and declarations as well as HTML elements and attributes
  • Write CSS code
  • Identify the different types of style sheets
  • Distinguish how the proximity and specificity of CSS code affects the cascade of multiple styles
  • Apply CSS elements, classes, and IDs to create and augment web page layouts
  • Creating CSS-based web page layouts including CSS-based navigation

Who Should Attend

Web designers, web developers and web editors should attend this course. Graphic designers wishing to gain web skills would also benefit from course content.

Note

This is a required course for the Web Design Essentials Certificate.

Refund Policy

Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class. No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class.
