Get to Know Your New iPad (Beginners Only)

This class is ideal for people who received an iPad as a holiday gift and/or those who need to build familiarity. Topics cover the basics of using an iPad as a personal productivity tool as well as for entertainment. An overview of interfacing with other Apple products is included.

• What are specific buttons for?
• What are “apps” and how do I load them onto the iPad?
• How can I change my settings?
• Where’s the cloud and why do I need it?
• How can get an iBook and read it?
• What typing tricks and gestures are available?
• How do I use the iPad camera?
• How can I communicate with distant friends and family?

Important note: Students must bring their own iPads to class. iPads will NOT be provided for hands-on activities.

Refund Policy

Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class. No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class.
