Principles of Web Design

 

Course Description

Professionals enrolled in this course learn established principles of web design including planning, production, and maintenance without having to absorb unnecessary complexity and jargon. Participants learn how these principles apply in web design projects whose primary concerns are information design, interface design and efficient search and navigation.

This two-day course transfers valuable skills for the marketplace. Professionals will be able to:

  • Create an overview the website development process
  • Evaluate usability on the web
  • Survey site design, page design and information design
  • Understand the proper use of several web page assets

Who Should Attend

Anyone who builds and maintains web pages and websites would benefit from this course including: web designers, web developers, web editors, web assistants. Graphic designers seeking to add website construction to their skill sets should also enroll.

Note

This is a required course for the Web Design Essentials Certificate.

Refund Policy

Registrants who cancel will receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, if we receive written notification a minimum of seven business days prior to the first day of class. No refunds will be issued if notification is not received seven business days prior to the first day of class.
